Daily Verse

Moses begins his song with a declaration that God’s name deserves to be proclaimed and His greatness acknowledged. Before recounting God’s faithfulness to Israel or addressing their failures, Moses first fixes everyone’s attention on who God is. Worship begins not with our circumstances but with God’s unchanging character. When we deliberately proclaim His name, we remind ourselves and others that He alone is worthy of honor, praise, and trust.

Application: Take time today to intentionally “ascribe greatness” to God. Before bringing Him your requests, spend a few moments thanking Him for His holiness, faithfulness, power, mercy, and love. Let your worship be rooted not merely in what God has done for you, but in who He is. A heart that regularly magnifies God’s greatness will find greater confidence, peace, and perspective in every season.
