Psalm 29:1-2 ESV
Ascribe to the Lord, O heavenly beings, ascribe to the Lord glory and strength. Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness.
Psalm 29:1–2 calls us to recognize God for who He truly is—glorious, powerful, and worthy of our worship. David reminds us that worship is not primarily about what we receive from God, but about giving Him the honor that already belongs to Him.
In the middle of busy days, it is easy to let other things compete for our attention and admiration. These verses invite us to deliberately redirect our hearts toward God, acknowledging His greatness and approaching Him with reverence. Today, take a moment to praise God simply for who He is—not only for what He has done.
