Ephesians 5:20 ESV
giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Paul reminds us that gratitude is more than a response to good circumstances; it is a way of living rooted in trust. Giving thanks “always” does not mean pretending every situation is pleasant. It means recognizing that God remains faithful, present, and worthy even when life is difficult or uncertain.
Today, I can choose to look beyond what is missing or frustrating and notice where God is already at work. A thankful heart shifts my attention from my circumstances to the One who holds them. Gratitude becomes an act of faith: God is still good, God is still present, and God is still working.
