Proverbs 12.14 ESV
From the fruit of his mouth a man is satisfied with good, and the work of a man’s hand comes back to him.
Proverbs 12:14 reminds us that both our words and our work produce a harvest. What we speak can bring encouragement, wisdom, and peace into the lives of others, while the work of our hands eventually bears consequences as well.
This verse challenges us to be intentional. Our words are not insignificant, and neither are the small acts of faithfulness we perform each day. God can use a gracious conversation, a thoughtful response, or diligent work to produce fruit far beyond what we immediately see.
Daily application: Before speaking or acting today, ask, “What kind of harvest will this produce?” Choose words that build up and actions that reflect faithfulness, trusting God with the results.
