Daily Verse

This verse comes near the end of a chapter filled with grief, loss, and uncertainty. Yet in the middle of everything that had changed for God’s people, Jeremiah anchors his hope in what had not changed: God was still on the throne.

Our circumstances can shift quickly. Plans fail, relationships change, and seasons of life can leave us unsettled. But God’s authority, character, and faithfulness are not dependent on our circumstances. He remains sovereign when life makes sense—and when it does not.

Daily application: When something today feels uncertain or beyond your control, remind yourself: “God still reigns.” Instead of allowing the uncertainty to dominate your thoughts, place it before the One whose throne endures forever.

Prayer: Lord, when circumstances shake my confidence, help me remember that You remain unchanged and firmly in control. Teach me to trust Your reign even when I cannot understand Your ways. In Jesus name, Amen.
