Daily Verse

1 John 3:19–20 reminds us that our feelings are not always reliable judges of our standing before God. There are times when our hearts accuse us—bringing guilt, doubt, or a sense that we have fallen short. Yet John points us beyond our emotions to a greater truth: “God is greater than our heart, and he knows everything.”

God knows our failures, but He also knows our faith, our motives, our repentance, and the work He is doing within us. Our assurance rests not in having a perfectly clear conscience every moment, but in the character and grace of the God who knows us completely.

Daily application: When your heart condemns you, bring that guilt honestly before God, repent where needed, and then choose to trust His truth rather than remain trapped by your feelings. The God who knows you best is also the One in whom you can rest.
