Psalm 62:11-12 ESV
Once God has spoken; twice have I heard this: that power belongs to God, and that to you, O Lord, belongs steadfast love. For you will render to a man according to his work.
These verses remind us of two powerful truths about God's character: He is all-powerful, and His love is unwavering. What a comforting combination! God not only has the power to accomplish His purposes, but He also possesses the steadfast love that assures us His actions are always rooted in His goodness and faithfulness.
In a world where power is often misused and love can be conditional, God demonstrates both perfect strength and unfailing love. We can trust Him with our circumstances, surrender our fears, and remain faithful in our daily walk, knowing that He sees our actions and responds with perfect justice.
Personal Application: True peace comes from trusting not in our own strength or ability to control circumstances, but in the God whose power is limitless, whose love never fails, and whose justice is perfect.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You that Your power is matched by Your steadfast love. Help me surrender what I cannot control, trust in Your faithfulness, and live each day in a way that honors You. Amen.
